I Used To Be A Badass

Now I'm just an ass.
Isn't it supposed to work the other way around? Aren't you supposed to gain confidence and poise as you grow older instead of becoming more and more insecure? Somebody is lying. High School was awful, don't get me wrong....but why do I feel like the present is so much worse?
